Worldwide recognition
Upper Iowa University is accredited by the North
Central Association the same status as Northwestern University and University of Michigan. Recognized
by both the U. S. Department of Education and Council for Higher Education Accreditaton (CHEA), the Association is one of six regional institutional accrediting associations
in the United States. The MBA and undergraduate business degree programs also
hold accreditation by the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE).
Upper Iowa University is currently licensed by the Board of Regents of the State
of Louisiana. Licenses are renewed by the State Board of Regents every two years.
Licensed institutions have met minimal operational standards set forth by the
state, but licensure does not constitute accreditation, guarantee the transferability
of credit, nor signify that programs are certifiable by any professional agency
or organization.
